Ramblings:
I am seriously excited about the looming holiday season! I am holding myself back from decorating right now! The weekend before Thanksgiving we will be going to "the farm" in New Jersery to pick out our tree, then the weekend of Thanksgiving we will go and have it cut down and take it home. But I'm thinking that I might want to start decorating the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving. Is this crazy? I cannot wait. Mayson has fallen in LOVE with the blow up decorations in Lowe's (NO WE DON'T NEED ONE!) so she has proven to be a little tacky this season but hopefully it's something she will grow out of.
I really want our street to have the lights that go across the street from house to house, we had them when we first moved in but they actually never worked while we lived here and then they were all taken down. I'm thinking of making the Alder St. men put them back up. It's hard to decide what I want the front of the house to look like. We usually do a strand of white lights around the entire house but that is so um, what is the word, oh wait.......... BORING! I need something different this year.
Mayson is going to mess our tree up this year! I'll be sure to post pictures when she does!!!!

Ooooh, I can't wait either! Harper loved all of the Halloween decorations and now she is all about nutcrackers. It is fun to see how excited the little ones get! (And Dan, too!)
Bring it all on. But please NO BLOW UPS. Love Oma
Take up a collection and buy the lights for the street. John, Nicky and Louie will have a ball putting them up.
Have a street lighting party. You know how your street LOVES to party.
Oh, you should put up a Xmas tree on your deck too! Then you can all stand up there and sing Xmas carols.
I LOVE CHRISTMAS! We must be on the same page because I was just telling my baby board them I'm so overly excited and ready to whip out the Christmas music. It's my favorite holiday. We've already taken the kids to several stores to look at the decorations. Lowe's has tons of the blow up things to look at. We just had the kids in there yesterday looking at them (not to buy - just to look! LOL) Cayden loves tacky xmas stuff too so Mayson will probably keep on loving it for years to come.
Great idea with a tree on the deck. oma
can i put a menorah in the window? i'm down to help light the street.. even though i'm not and alderite!!! let me know !
According to Ikea it's time to decorate and who would know better than our swedish friends? Just don't purchase their purple and green decorations, barney is not an appropriate christmas theme.
