I had my second doctor appointment today. I got to hear the babies heartrate! Got to find out that I am not a carrier of cystic fibrosis, great! I am immune to German measles and chicken pox, YEAH! And I am a carrier of Parvo (Fifth's Disease), they tested me for this because of my job and the fact that kids get this. But it's nothing to worry about unless I get it, which if I don't share respiratory secretions with my students I probably won't get, YUCK! Next month we will get a quad test which tests for things such as Down's Syndrome, open neural tube defects, and Edwards' syndrome. Also, we will be getting a 3-D ultrasound around March 27th or 28th, which will let us know the gender of the baby (hopefully). Very exciting stuff.
